What are you looking for in a Real Estate Agent?

A partner for buying or selling a home? Or more than that? 

Agents are a dime a dozen, good agents deliver on a range of fronts.

But how do you know if someone is a good agent?

Is just being a polite person good enough for the largest transaction of your lifetime x maybe 2 or 3?

You take look at their qualifications like: 

The Company they associate with, is it a top company that backs its agents? 

Team -  lenth of time in the industry may not be an indicator your agent has your back. However their team may provide more of a clue. Agents who work in teams give better service and you have the wisdom of all of them. They meet weekly to discuss specifics and get current. You can trust that knowledge base. I am part of a top-selling team with a legacy of success. In my ofice I am still the new gal on th block with many agents with 30, 40 years of experience and local expertise all over the North Bay. They motivate me to keep pace every day.

Education- A motivated agent is one who educated herself. Hands down the best agents hire coaches, strive for improvement, go to seminars and take classes. Heather loves to learn and is always taking a new class on top of her excellent credentials. She is a broker, not a salesperson, and partnered with CB because of the power and team it gives you to meet your goals. 

Additional designations that indicate a dedication to learning lifelong. You can talk to them but most agents are charming and have charisma. You can see the designation on the business card. For example, being a @realtor  is a designation. It holds us to a higher standard. It's a basic thing but we pay for these designations annually and a good agent stays on top of it. I am a luxury home marketing expert with the Institute for luxury home marketing and comfortable with county properties, ranches, and vineyards. I have lived on Vineyards for the last 20 years and love to educate people about them. I am also a first time home buyer expert and love to educate forst time home buyers on making a life long plan for wealth building. I teach a first time home buyer class where I bust myths about the real estate industry and tell you secrets for housing success in this challenging market.

You want someone who exercises due diligence on your behalf so you don't have to think about it.

You want someone with expertise who work with you to meet your goals and guide you through the many aspects involved in purchasing in California.
